You'll be staying in a fully renovated, traditional Japanese house that's 100 years old. You'll be greeted by your host, Yoshida Akira. Akira moved to Ozo-cho, located in the northernmost part of Kobe, a few years ago, and is involved in an exchange program to spread the charm of satoyama. He's a professional local guide who has cycled all over Ozo-cho, his hobby, and will share its charm with you. Akira will guide you through a hidden gem, and in the evening you'll enjoy a BBQ using local ingredients in the open garden. There's also a farm shop nearby that's popular with locals, where you can purchase processed foods and other souvenirs. One of the best parts of traveling is hearing stories about the area from local residents that you won't find in guidebooks. Why not get an early taste of the charms of Kobe's lesser-known rural areas?
